Feed the Homeless with Praise & Thunder and Dunkirk Baptist Church! Live Praise Music, Pizza lunch, prepare lunches for the homeless, and head to DC's McPherson Square, (15th & I Streets NW). I am asking you to join in on the “Lost Student Challenge”. The Baptist Convention of MD/DE will give away 20 spots to Uncharted for lost students only! Please let us know by Tuesday if you will need any of these spots. One way in reaching lost students for this event is to remind them that they will get service hours for this event.

Two Helpful Tips:

1.There is a free conference going on in Orlando Fl, with Student Leadership University. Francis Chan and David Nasser are some of the speakers to check out. Go to studentleadership.net!

2. Free training/ materials to reach students. If you would like to talk about how you can receive either the training or the materials. Please give me a call or e-mail me (mmwaura@bcmd.org)

How are you serving? Where is God using you? Uncharted is a tremendous opportunity to share the love of Christ with Baltimore....but Uncharted is only one weekend. We want to see and hear about how God is using you in your community and beyond! If you are needing to work out lodging for the event please call or email our office. We need host church information as well as churches who needing to be hosted. If you are choosing to stay in the recommended hotel (information is on the original mail out) you just need to give them a call and book your rooms. We have put a hold on the rooms to reserve the price quoted to you under the Youth Evangelism Conference Event but your church will need to make those arrangements directly with the hotel. The hotel is asking for your reservation at least one month before the event and your payment one week before arrival. If you need to work out other arrangements please contact them directly.

As far as deadlines for your deposits concerning Uncharted… we need to have a $25 deposit per student and adult who are attending Uncharted by January 15^th to reserve the $50 rate for the conference. If the deposit is not in by January 15^th the rate goes up to $60 per student and adult. If you aren’t able to meet this deadline with that amount of money please give me a call our office so that we can work something out that will work in your situation. We don’t want churches to turn away because of financial burdens. Please give us the opportunity to see if we can work with you in making this event happen for your students.

On March 8, 2008, over 1,200 students from Maryland and Delaware invaded Baltimore and served a city in need. Great things were done: neighborhoods were cleaned, communities were loved and people were fed. But God isn't done making His presence felt in Baltimore yet...so neither are we.

We asked if you would "Be the church" and you answered in a big way! You said "We will!" On March 27-29, 2009, we're raising the bar, we're increasing the challenge and giving you the opportunity to serve again, to serve more, to show Baltimore and the world that where God leads, you follow.
